Ok, it’s a brand new year, and most people resolve to get healthy. So do it! Just cut the crap, stop wining and get healthy! I’m sick to death of all the commercials for the magical dieting pills, and the prescription drug advertisements to lower cholesterol. Get off your fat asses and eat healthy! Of course, the best thing not only for you, but the environment, and animals would be to go vegan, but I know most people aren’t ready for that drastic of a change. So start out slow. Try planning more meals without meat and cheese. Its really not that difficult. Veggie soup is a great way to fill up and eat healthy. You can put pretty much anything you want into it. Just start with some veggie broth and work from there. Pasta and tomato or pesto sauce is great too. The bet way to be healthy is to change your eating habits, not go on a diet. Dieting is a temporary fix, and its to easy to ‘cheat’ on a diet. When you make up your mind to eat healthy there is no need to ‘cheat’ because you can eat whatever you want. One of the best things about being vegan is being able to eat more and not gain the wait!
Think about it, do you really want to spend most of your life struggling with weigh loss? Or having to plan out your day according to which pills you have to take? Not me, I want to live my life. Our county is the biggest drug pusher, we are continually bombarded with commercial after commercial for new drugs. After a while we begin to think its normal to take 5 pills a day just to function. This is not normal! Side affects and long term usage can often be more damaging then the original diagnosis. Not to mention we are beginning to self-diagnose according to advertisements. Did you know doctors in this country get paid more when patients are sicker and prescribed more medication? Doesn’t that seem a little backwards. In Europe doctors are paid based on the good health of patients, not bad. Drug companies aren’t allowed to advertise and brainwash like they are here. Just stop and think about how you want to live when your older. If you think its normal to have to depend on machines and medications, your right, it is becoming the norm in this country, but that does not mean its optimal. You have the power right now to change. The sooner you at least begin to cut out all of the harmful things you put into your body, i.e. meat, cheese, and dairy, the more likely you will be able to actually live your life.
